Getting Baptized

Yesterday I made the decision that I am getting baptized. I have been thinking about it for a while and finally am certain I am ready. I am so excited. I will be getting it done at Kensington church. I am not sure when yet because I have asked a fellow Christian to baptize me. However the weekend that they have scheduled for the next baptism event that friend will be out of town.

I will keep everyone up to date on the plans. I am so excited.

Everything for Him.

Easter Service

As I have mentioned before I have always believed in God but never really practiced, or studied or anything like that. Kind of just chalked it up to ok, there is a God and that was good enough. Over the past few months that outlook has changed into this amazing journey that I am on now.

I went to service on Good Friday and Easter Sunday and all I have to say is WOW. It's amazing to think that Jesus went through all of that for us to be saved. It's sad to think that all the people were so eager to get rid of Jesus. I wonder what things would be like today if Jesus were walking amongst us and how people of today's world would react? How would we treat Him? Would you be one of the people that were wanting him to be Crucified? Or would you stand up for Him would you do anything to stop it?

Thank you for everything.

Great Song

Thank you God for a great weekend. I really liked the service Sunday. One of the songs that they played really worked on my heart. I am reposting the lyrics here for anyone who is interested.

What you're gonna do with the 36 cents
Sticky with coke on your floorboard
When a woman on the street is huddled in the cold
On a sidewalk bench trying to keep warm
Do you call her over, hand her the change
Ask her her story, ask her her name
Or do you tell yourself

"You're just a fool, just a fool to believe you can change the world"
"You're just a fool, just a fool to believe you can change the world

What you're gonna do when you're watching TV
And an ad comes on, yeah, you know the kind
Flashing up pictures of a child in need
For a dime a day, you could save a life
Do you call the number, reach out a hand
Or do you change the channel, call it a scam
Do you tell yourself

"You're just a fool, just a fool to believe you can change the world"
Don't listen to them when they say
"You're just a fool, just a fool to believe you can change the world"
Oh, the smallest thing can make all the difference
Love is alive, don't listen to them when they say
"You're just a fool, just a fool to believe you can change the world"

The world's so big, it can break your heart
And you just want to help, not sure where to start
So you close your eyes
And send up a prayer into the dark

"You're just a fool, just a fool to believe you can change the world"
Don't listen to them when they say
"You're just a fool, just a fool to believe you can change the world"
Oh, the smallest thing can make all the difference
Love is alive, don't listen to them when they say
"You're just a fool, just a fool to believe you can change the world"

Father, I want to help you change the world.
Thank you

C.T. Scan is Scheduled

Last week at work I started coughing up blood in pretty significant amounts. After a few hours of this I went to the emergency room to have some tests done and at the time they didn't see anything of significance and didn't feel it was worth doing a CT Scan due to some other risks with that.

After my follow up with my Doctor she feels it is a good thing to do the CT scan to rule out any other issues. I have had a long history of lung problems from asthma, pneumonia, only 70 - 75% of my lungs function properly based on some other tests. So after her recomendation I have scheduled my CT. It is scheduled for Tuesday April 26 at 6:30 pm.

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for all the blessings in my life, my wife, my children, friends and other family. I know by your grace all these things are possible. Thank you for this. Father I pray for strength over the coming weeks as I do the test and the results come back. I know that you have a plan for me and whatever it is I accept. Father I pray that you will be by my side during my time of need. Father I pray in Jesus name, Amen.

Wrapping up Vacation

Today I am wrapping up my vacation which was some great family time at our cabin. I am very thankful to God for everything that we were able to do this week as a family. I wish the weather would have been nicer, but it is what it is. Today was a beautiful day out and I was lucky enough to ride my motorcycle for quite a while today. I even got to take 2 of my sons for a ride which was great.

Todays service at church was awesome as usual, it was the second part of a series called Thaw. It was talking about how over time our hearts turn to "stone" and how we can thaw them out and turn them back to the loving hearts we were meant to have. One of those ways is forgiveness. Forgive people who have done you wrong. It is really hard to do but it needs to be done. This falls in line with a book that one of my friends is reading and I plan to read this soon once a few things get back to normal. The book is called Total Forgiveness by R.T. Kendall.

Heavenly Father, I thank you for everything you have done for me, all you have given to me, my family and my friends. Father God, You are an amazing God that gives us everything we need and as we learn to walk with you instead of fight you it is even more amazing the things you have in store for us. Father God, I pray that you give me the strength to continue on this journey with you as I learn your word and learn to live the life you have planned for me. Father, I can't do this on my own, I never could even though I thought I was doing it on my own. I know you have always been there and I thank you so much for that. Father I pray for the strength to forgive all of those who I feel have wronged me in my life and I pray that you give me the ability to see them through your eyes. I know you cherish them as you cherish me and I want to forgive them. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Looking forward to Church on Sunday

Due to my vacation this week I didn't make it to either of the bible studies I belong to which is a total bummer. I definitely missed them. I am looking forward to getting back into the swing of them next week. I am also looking forward to church on Sunday. Last weeks service was amazing and I can't wait to see what they have in store for us this week.

Praise God

My 3 Year Old

My son Wyatt is 3 and at times amazes me with what he says. The other day he was telling us how much God loves us and forgives us when we make mistakes.

Other days he chooses to test my wife and I every step of the way. He is a great kid and we love him with all of our hearts.

Blessed times 2

Today was my twin boys 7th birthday. we started the day out a little rough with one of the twins having a slight melt down because we left for church and he forgot his bible. After we got passed that the day was just awesome.

Church was amazing today. The message was about building our relationship with God. It was awesome. the K Rock Kids put on a great opening number which was singing in the rain.

After church we went to see my dad for a few minutes to pick something up for our vacation. We then went to the Detroit Science Center for an exhibit on dinosaurs. they loved it. we then wrapped up with dinner with my parents at American Pie which the kids loved.

I plan on finishing out in some prayer tonight to thank God for an amazing day.

Thank you for everything.
