Today's Service

Today's service was really good. They talked about a very important question that we should all be asking ourselves. THe question is basically this. Do we know God, or are we just trying to live a good life. Doing good things is important but it is knowing God that is the most important. I would venture to say that most people today know OF but don't know him meaning they don't have a relationship with him. I wasn't really sure what this meant until a little further in the service. Just because I attend two bible studies, church on Sunday and read a verse or two now and then doesn't mean that I KNOW God. It means I know of him and about him. Knowing God means that I build a relationship with him. Just like if I was building a relationship with another human, I would talk to them, care for them, communicate with them. God, our creator wants to be OUR friend.

Imagine that, the creator of everything wants friendship with us. We are all important to him and a relationship makes him very happy.

Heavenly Father,
Amazing God, Almighty God, Thank you for all that you do in our lives. Thank you for being there when we need you and even when we don't. You are always there with us even when we don't know it. I pray through the Holy Spirit we will see the Father. I beg this for all of us because once we see the Father nothing will ever be the same. I pray this in Jesus name, Amen.

I'm Yours

Heavenly Father,
I am amazed by your will and everything that you do. You are an amazing God that is perfect. Father I know I am a sinner and I beg your forgiveness for all the sins I have committed. Thank you for every blessing you have given me in my life, thank you for all the good you have helped me to do. Father I have this overwhelming feeling that you have something specific for me to do. I am just struggling to fully hear and understand your whisper. Father I pray that you will speak to me, I pray that you give me the wisdom and courage to serve you as you see fit. Father I am Yours to use as you wish. I pray in Jesus name, Amen.

Prayer for a friends lost loved one...

O Lord, I beg of You, through Your loving kindness, have mercy on the soul of Your servant Marion Migrin, and now that she is set free from the defilements of this mortal flesh, restore her to her heritage of everlasting salvation. Father I pray you look over Pete and his family during their time of need. Father I pray this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Happy Mothers Day

Dear Heavenly Father,
You are an amazing God, that created all life on earth. You put in place everything we need to survive in our lives. One of the best things you gave to us is our mothers. I know that we are not perfect, most of the time we push our moms to the limit. Often times we hurt them with the decision we make in our own lives. Father I am so thankful for my mother, she has been there for me every step of the way and I know you put her there. Father I pray that you make today the best day of my mothers life, I pray that you are with her today guiding her to be the mom you want her to be. Please give her relief from her pains both physical and emotional. Father I pray in Jesus name, Amen.

Answered Prayers

A few weeks back I had a pretty big scare with coughing up blood. First we prayed that the coughing up blood would stop, and it has. Second I ended up having to have some chest CAT scan to make sure that there wasn't any underlying issues such as cancer or something of the sort. Those results have came back and they didn't find anything.

Praise God.
